The 30 Hour Famine is coming up April 29th & 30th! We would love to have you join us as we go hungry for hungry people. Come to youth this Sunday as we learn more about the Famine, sign people up, teach about how to raise funds for WorldVision and the Famine, order t-shirts, and plan the weekend! Let your friends know.. this is something they can do that can make a difference!!! See you at youth on Sunday! If you can’t make it, but want to participate in the 30 Hour Famine, let Sara know. Midwinter retreats are sponsored and lead by our Conference Council on Youth Ministry. Join us for a weekend of exciting teaching, relevant messages, powerful music in an inviting community. This is a mixed Midwinter, both junior high and senior high are invited.

Cost: $90 if you register early, $110 for late registration

SKI TRIP 2010 September 23, 2010

The dates are December 28th-January 2nd to Taos, New Mexico. You can help your costs by selling crosses or working the booth at Market in the Meadow. Print out the sign up sheet and turn it in with your $100 deposit by October 3rd!

YOUTH and Parent Meeting Sunday, Sept. 12th 6:00pm September 11, 2010

We will be discussing our fall activities, dinner schedule, Market in the Meadow, SKI TRIP 2010, and our summer plans for 2011, including High School Mission Trip, Jr. High Mission Trip, and Choir Tour. You won’t want to miss this important meeting. After the meeting, we’ll have a pizza and snacks while we watch the first half of the Cowboys Season Opener! See you there!!!
YOUTH WEEK Sunday, 8-8 through Sunday 8-15 August 5, 2010
Posted by Sara in : The Blog , comments closedJoin us for Youth week at Ridgewood Park. It is a great way to end the summer. We’ll have lots to do. On Sunday, August 8th, we have a scavenger hunt! Meet at church at 6:00pm. On Monday, we are touring Dallas Cowboy Stadium. We’ll meet at the church at 11:30 and should be home around 4:30 or so. We can even play on the field. Tuesday, we’ll meet at the church at 6:30 and help collect items for the garage sale. Wednesday is a Hawaiian Luau at the Johnson’s some from 7:00-9:00pm, then Thursday is Laser Tag at Laser Quest. Meet at the church at 6:00pm. The garage sale is Friday and Saturday so you can sign up for a 2-3 hour shift to “work” the snack stand or in the garage sale. Then on Sunday, August 15th, we will celebrate our summer during worship for YOUTH SUNDAY and have some Messy Olympics at youth that night. If you have any questions, give me or Autumn a call.
Senior High Mission Trip June 12th-19th June 11, 2010
Posted by Sara in : The Blog , comments closedThe Senior High Mission Trip team will leave for Mission, Texas, on Saturday, June 12th. Remember to bring all your tools and gear to the church on Friday, June 11th at 6:00pm so we can label everything and pack the trailers. We’ll leave bright and early on Saturday morning. Meet at the church at 5:45am. Those of you not going on the trip, please keep us in your prayers. Pray for safety while we are working and cool breezes. Pray that we can not only help the family’s living conditions, but also have fun and make new friends with them. Pray that through our work and our attitudes, the people we encounter will see Christ’s light in us.
We’ll drive home on Saturday, the 19th.
Burger House Night February 15, 2010

You’ll enjoy eating their yummy food and helping our youth. Burger House will give us a percentage of the proceeds from the night toward our mission trips this summer.
